Yesterday morning was perfect for hitting the flea .... a perfect morning for the perfect find .... my long search was over ... I found her!
I knew she was "the one" the moment we met ... true love at first sight.
I have been searching for a plus size mannequin for months now ... it's hard enough finding one period, but it seems the big and beautiful ladies are even more elusive.
Now I can fill my orders for plus size gypsy wear.
YIPPEE!!
And check this lady out ... she is GORGEOUS!! She has curves in ALL the right spots.
She definitely has the "3 B's" covered:
1.) Boobs
2.) Belly
and ....
3.) a BOOTY!!
Bootylicious for sure ... how sweet is that?
And what do I need your help with, other than welcoming her into our world?
She needs a name.
A fitting name.
Give me some suggestions ladies, please ... this mannequin deserves the best ... what can you think of?
Leave a comment below ... can't wait to read what you come up with!
Wishing you a happy weekend and hope you find some love too!
xo
Jill

Being plus size myself I love her! Now for a name, since she has the 3 B's...
ReplyDeleteBuxom Barbara, Beautiful Betty or how about just Blossom!
Since I am one of those plus size cuties, that awaits your creations...I drool over the skinny wear..... I would suggest you name her Bodacious Betsy the "bod for the broad" in all of us. tee hee. Love that you found her, hurrah for you and booya for me, er us.
ReplyDeleteAwesome and fortunate find! I would like to submit....Bertha...appropriate with the 3 B's and make it four! lol Thanks for sharing!

P.S. Haddon Hts. is having their townwide yardsale tomorrow - should be some good treasures. Hoping it doesn't rain ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm one board for Bertha as well! Only I would call her Big Bad Bertha! I've never seen one like that, she's got the curves for sure!
ReplyDeleteTheresa
aka:tot
Gorgeous. In keeping with the 'B' - how about Beatrice?
ReplyDeletexo
Claudia
Hows about Bibi or Brigitte? Both Frenchy names!
ReplyDeletexoxokathleen
I would just call her Belle or Bella :)
ReplyDeleteOooh she is French Jill, and I believe I know her... her name is "Irma La Douce" which means "Irma the Sweet" in French, and was also the name of a darling old movie from the 60's with Shirley MacLaine as Irma...xoxo Julie Marie PS If you have never seen the movie, it is a cute one!
ReplyDeleteI think she looks like a MISSES DOUBYFIRE!!!! Hugs Mary
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I'm fond of "Big Mama"! Thanks for sharing your find with us! She's pretty sassy!!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Sue
Yeah!!!! I knew when I found "Matilda" that she was meant for me just as "Bella" was meant for you to find. I think she looks like a Bella because she is beautiful with all the curves...just like real women.
ReplyDeleteDoing the happy dance for you. You look so happy, love it!
Smiles,
Pat
She is definitely a hoot! But so much more realistic than the size 0 that many of the old ones are. I like Precious.
ReplyDeletehave fun, you nut! xoxo Debra

ReplyDeleteHave fun deciding, lots of great names.
Melissa
Look out for Miss Lotte Lenya and old Lucy Brown!

She is quite unique.... Madame Desiree
ReplyDeleteMeaning desired in French...
Her name should definitely be "Bella" because curvy women are beautiful!

Big Bertha is my guess in the name game.
ReplyDeleteshe's a buxom lass...what a wonderful find!
ReplyDeletealison
stuff and nonsense
LOLOLOL Now I've got the song "Fat Bottom Girls" in my head! LOL Of COURSE she should be named Fanny DuMonde...no other name for such a Ruebenesque French beauty would do! ;) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI alway name my mannequins so I think something Sassy is in order. "Fannie Mae"! judy
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm loving Brown Bee Studio's suggestion--Fanny DuMonde!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have the 'fat bottom girls' song stuck in my head too!
Now I have "Ruby Ruby she's my baby, Ruby Ruby, don't mean maybe" (in Roy Orbison's voice?!??!?!) stuck in my head! lol Ruby is a beautiful name for her too! OH! Ruby Pearl! :)
ReplyDeletePeaches... as in "if you don't like my peaches don't shake my tree!" It was my mammy's favorite saying. She is fabulous, I was thinking hey, where did Jill get a dress form of me? LOL xoxo
ReplyDeleteWell if it wasn't for the booty...we'd pass for twins, so TnT is out! I'm so excited that your designs will be available for the pleasantly plump crowd that it's really hard for me to think, but Lotta Junque comes to mind first. Maybe Jiggles LaRue...or does that sound like a stipper and of course there is always Fanny Pack. I'll try and think of something pretty...kay', but for now...SCORE!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
We call my ironwork dressform Stella :) It suits her fine.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I am in awe of the size of her - hope for cool stuff for the bigger gals like myself!

ReplyDeleteLove her!!! I can see why your hugging her. I want to hug her too. She's my gal, everything that I have ever worn must have been cut and pinned on her. I want to say Aunt Bea, but I don't know if I'm crazy in love with Bea for her. But most defiantly love Aunt?.
ReplyDelete~G~
Her shape is WAY too familiar to me!!!!! How about Madmoselle Maggie Mae?
ReplyDeleteOh, wait!!! Fergie!!!
